Craftsmanship Meets Contemporary Design at EDIT Napoli 2025

Bottega Intreccio joined the seventh edition of EDIT Napoli, held from 10 to 12 October 2025 at Villa Floridiana, inside “Nomadaria,” the special installation conceived by Elena Salmistraro for Officine Tamborrino. For the event, the brand unveiled two exclusive pieces — the Trittica Headboard and the Gruccio Coat Rack — crafted in collaboration with the historic weaving district of Mogliano and soon to be included in the 2026 Bottega Intreccio collection.

Presented within the HouseTree micro-architecture by Paolo Scoglio, reinterpreted by Salmistraro as a suspended dialogue between art, architecture, and landscape, the two pieces inhabit the space with lightness, character, and a quiet poetic presence.

At the heart of the project lies craftsmanship: fire-bent cane, hand-shaped with skill, and rattan woven in multiple techniques give form to functional sculptures. Every curve and weaving reflects precision, patience, and the unique sensibility of master artisans.

The designer’s distinctive palette is enhanced through a sustainable water-based finish that elevates the tactile nature of the materials without concealing their natural expression. The surfaces remain alive to the touch, resonating with the Mediterranean spirit that inspires the entire installation.

More than simple furnishings, the Trittica Headboard and the Gruccio Coat Rack are statements of Italian savoir-faire — an encounter between memory, technique, and contemporary vision. With this collaboration, Bottega Intreccio reaffirms its commitment to preserving and reinventing Italian craft heritage, bringing excellence in handwoven design to the forefront of today’s design scene.
